Introduction
SlimChickens is a prominent fast-food chain that specializes in delicious chicken offerings. In an age where digital presence is a must, SlimChickens collaborated with us to build a comprehensive online platform encompassing a user-friendly website and a hybrid mobile application. The project aimed to enhance the customers’ online user experience and streamline the order system to drive business growth.
The Challenge
The restaurant needed a website that catered to multi-location brand growth, was user-friendly, allowed for efficient online ordering, and incorporated modern tech features. Coming up with an online experience that was easy to navigate while meeting the fast-paced demands of SlimChickens’ customers was the challenge.
The Solution
We developed a WordPress website implementing various widgets for better functionality and data tracking. Ensuring streamlined customer experience, the website is user-friendly with an online ordering system powered by the widget OLO. We implemented other widgets such as Google Analytics, DoubleClick Floodlight, and Facebook Signal for tracking website data and user interactions. This allowed SlimChickens to tailor user experiences accordingly.
Simultaneously, we also built a hybrid mobile application using React Native, providing the flexibility of platform-specific development while enjoying the benefits of code reusability, large community support, and quick development timelines, among others.
Website Features
The website’s user interface was created using WPBakery, a drag and drop builder we chose for its versatility and ease of use. The integration of Gravity Forms assisted in collecting and managing user data, while StoreRocket was crucial in creating a comprehensive store locator system, which is crucial for a chain that’s expanding rapidly. The SayWhat widget allowed us to easily translate the website into multiple languages, breaking any language barriers.
For marketing purposes, MailChimp was integrated for efficient email marketing campaigns, and Ninja Popups for WordPress helped create engaging popups for website promotion. The messaging transparency and consumer safety were managed through the Hu-manity.co and US Privacy User Signal Mechanism.
Additional features for performance improvement included the Cloudflare Radar that offers performance tracking capabilities, while the CrUX Dataset provides user experience metrics. The site was made more engaging through the application of anime.js for animations.
The Outcome
The fresh, intuitive website and the hybrid mobile application contributed to improved user experience and increased online ordering efficiency. The effective use of various widget systems facilitated the collection of crucial data about customer behavior on both platforms, allowing the team at SlimChickens to adapt their online interaction and marketing efforts to the most effective manner identified through the data. With the added functionality like language translation, localization of outlets, order tracking, and various safety measures, SlimChicken’s online presence became a tool that stirred high levels of engagement, customer satisfaction, and ultimately, business growth.
