Site URL
Introduction
Big Armor, a leading tech company, was seeking to enhance the development and maintenance of its software products, with the aim of improving responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and user experience on both mobile and desktop interfaces. The company entrusted the task to an experienced Typescript developer proficient in Angular 8+ and Apollo GraphQL.
Overview
We were expected to hit the ground running on ongoing projects. Major responsibilities ranged from developing user interfaces to integrating front-end components with the backend, optimizing applications for speed and efficiency, and ensuring the highest security best practices.
Action & Approach
We started with a thorough analysis of the existing software products. Based on critical parameters such as interactive features, responsiveness, and user-friendliness, gaps were identified.
Front-end Development: We redesigned the web interface with Angular framework, focusing on the responsiveness and interactivity of the UI.
Design Implementation: Using the provided wireframes and mockups, we translated these into functional web pages.
Collaboration & Integration: Collaborations were made with other backend developers and designers for seamless integration of frontend components.
Performance Optimization: We employed optimization techniques – lazy loading, code splitting, and caching strategies to enhance the application’s speed and efficiency.
Version Control: Git was utilized to track changes and to enable effective collaboration amongst the team members.
Bug Fixing: We also actively resolved existing bugs and issues impacting the UI.
Outcomes & Results
Following the re-designing of the UI and the optimization of the applications, user interaction saw a significant increase. The loading speed of the applications was greatly improved, and the issues with cross-browser compatibility were resolved.
Furthermore, Big Armor achieved a seamless deployment process via CI/CD pipelines automation. The company also saw a significant reduction in security threats as XSS and CSRF, thanks to the security best practices implemented during the development process.
Conclusion
Working in an Agile software development lifecycle environment, we made significant improvements in frontend development at Big Armor.
This case-study demonstrates the immense value an experienced development team can bring to a company and their software product development endeavors. With an experienced team in place, Big Armor managed to enhance the functional efficiency and user-friendliness of their software products, validating the importance of hiring skilled and adaptive software development professionals in the evolving tech world.
